I'm in second year, all of my semesters have been full-time so far, and these courses will not show up on my transcript as I'm dropping for health reasons. How will losing a semester affect my chances? My GPA is terrible so I'm not planning to use this year for 2Y GPAs, and I am already intending to do a 5th year and a Masters to make up for bad grades and now this lost time. rmorelan Posted February 22, 2015 Report Share Posted February 22, 2015 well most schools won't count they year, the course won't count, and those that do count the courses will just take your fall anyway. TO drop a course policy likely would still hold (1/2 a year clearly, health reasons with documentation etc,etc). The real issue is probably not the dropped semester but rather the bad fall grades.
