Hey, just a quick question here. Right now I am doing some general scinece courses,(4 courses) in my first year of college, but I plan on goining into a 4 year human kinetics program starting next year, that will have a full 5 courses. When I am applying to med school down the road, which years will be taken into account, I know this probally varries by school, but will it most likely just be the 4 years of my degree?

Thanks!

Yes...most likely...however, that may vary from school to school.

In general, most schools count only university level courses and most count only full-time (5.0 course) years when determining your GPA....

Make sure you check with each individual school that you are interested in to determine how they will calculate your GPA...this information can usually be found on the school's website.

Good luck!
