Guest Littlebantha
Hi there, Just wondering if anyone has been accepted into any canadian medical schools with an economics degree? Thanks
Guest jmh2005
I believe there are 1 or 2 people who have an econ degree in my class and there are another 2 or 3 who have their B.Com or Bus. Admin degree. You can do it!
Guest DrSahsi
As long as you have the necessary prerequisite courses, the type of degree you have (if any at all) is for the most part irrelevant. If anything, I think economics education would be a bonus should you get accepted... because I've definitely found truth in the widely held belief that physicians are TERRIBLE at making decisions when it comes to money. :b - Rupinder
Guest UWOMED2005
We have a guy in the UWO class of 2005 with a combined honours or dbl major degree that was definitely economics and either political science or soc (I'm pretty sure it's polisci.) It's definitely possible. P.S. I think a B. Com would be more useful than economics in terms of running a practice. . . econ would be useful if you rose to the level of Health Minister, though!
