Guest purine5
I was wondering if meds have their own GPA formula I just found out UT has one, if one takes 5 full course per yr then, the lowest mark of each academic yr will be eliminated. How about other premeds?
Guest Kirsteen
Hi there purine5, With respect to the Ontario schools, Ottawa is the only other school that uses a special admissions "formula". (Western, McMaster and Queen's don't play around with your grades and use custom formulae, instead, each looks at either your cumulative GPA from all years or subsets of those whole years.) In Ottawa's case, the formula is known as the weighted GPA (WGPA) and it, as well as a sample calculation of it, appears on pages 6 and 7 of the following Ottawa admissions document: Ottawa Admissions .pdf Cheers, Kirsteen
