Guest Lorae
At what point does each school look at your reference letters?? It seems it's not consistent... some pre-interview, some post, etc. Maybe some of the moderators could shed some light as to how letters are approached at their school. thanks! Guest UWOMED2005
You forgot never. That's what we believe happens at UWO. It's hard to assess letters of reference. Most people will make sure to choose refs who will write stellar letters. If someone had a bad letter of reference, I think it would be more likely they chose a very critical author. Personally, I don't think ability to choose authors for letter of reference is a critical skill for physicians to have. . . useful as it might be come CaRMS time.
