Ubc Pt Gpa Conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm currently in my last year of undergrad and looking to apply for UBC MPT for September 2017. I was wondering if anybody knows how UBC converts GPA on a 4.33 scale to a percentage... My school only gives out letter grades (no percentages), and I have been hearing that UBC  PT wil take the lowest range of a letter grade (ie take 80 for an A- from an 80-84 range), which could lower my GPA and make it less competitive. On the other hand, I heard that UBC takes an aveage score for the range (ie 82 for an A-) in the MD program for UBC med...I f anybody would have any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated ! :)

I know for OT applicants UBC takes the GPA that is on your official transcript. So if it says 3.67 for an A- then your GPA for UBC will also be 3.67 but if your actual percentage earned is on the transcript then UBC will convert it according to their grading scale. So if you earned 84% then your GPA for that course should be 3.9
