marquedu
I went to UofT undergraduate program for two years and due to poor performance I received a one year suspension. I took one year off and transferred to York university in Ontario. I am now finishing my Kinesiology program and have a very high sGPA (3.93). Will Ontario schools offering PT see this and automatically reject my application or will it not make a difference since they take roughly your last two years of undergrad for grades. laudable
Your sGPA is high. If you cGPA is 3 or above, you should be fine. I am sure you will be fine.
marquedu
Just got off the phone with Queens. They basically said what you just told me. That it should not effect me unless it really brings down my sGPA (to below 2.82).
k36lam
What if your cGPA is below 3 but your sGPA is high? The only school to consider this would be Queens right?
TheGoodUsernamesWereTaken
I went to the Queen's OT info session last month and the woman who was in charge of admissions gave the presentation. She said they really take the cGPA into account because studies show that this is the biggest predictor of success for grad/professional school, not sGPA. marquedu
Hmm maybe its different for PT? I also spoke directly to the person in charge of admissions on the phone and she said as long as you make the cGPA cutoff thats all that matters. The rest is up to submissions, references and sGPA
