Can you share which rotations you liked the most and which you hated (independent of your speciality of interest)? Which rotations would you recommend to visiting students that are reputed to be good rotations at your home school? Please include the university/site at which you did your rotation. Thanks!

This is a tough one for the masses. The elective experience often heavily relies on the people, which changes every block, sometimes every week. Also, few people here are comfortable outing their real identities.

 

Even if you know the best preceptor to work with, you're far from guaranteed to get assigned to him/her.

 

You'll have better luck throwing down a short list of electives you're considering and asking for advice from there.

Hahah true, was hoping to get a general guidance though. For my faculty, I know which departments and in which locations are better to go to not factoring in preceptors, and which ones should be avoided like the plague. But its true, the anonymity factor is definitely a huge barrier. Thanks for taking the time to write a response!
