marquedu
Is there a particular unwritten “dress code” that’s followed in school/clinical placements? Wanted to do some back to school shopping and wanted an idea of what i’ll be wearing before I do so.
Guest
For the undergrad or the masters? For the undergrad, it really does not matter since you'll be spending most of your time in classes. I would suggest comfortable clothes that you could study in. For clinical placements, you're supposed to wear "professional clothes". No sandals, no jeans/sweatpants, etc.
crystal93
In lectures you can wear whatever, and note that for practical classes you'll need to wear or change into a t-shirt or tank with shorts. For site visits and clinical placements you'll need to wear professional attire. Some schools have documents online saying you can't wear sleeveless shirts, but I know at McGill you can (like nice dressier tanks). Closed toes shoes for sure though.
