Premedstudent0307
How does NOSM verify where you lived during your childhood? I went to high school in a big city but during my childhood I moved around in remote northern towns in quebec. Will NOSM require some sort of documentation to prove whereI lived as a kid? Will they ask about it on the interview? Or do they simply just go off what you state in the questionnaires? Thanks guys
rural_roots
Under "School Submissions" for NOSM there are supplementary information questions which ask you to name each community you have lived in for a year or more since birth. It is this information, I believe, that is crucial to determining your context score. In terms of verifying that information, I'm not sure. You need verifiers for activities you've been involved in during your time in your respective community(ies), and that combined with the blackballing you'd receive from applying to Ontario medical schools if you got caught submitting a fraudulent application is enough to verify one is telling it straight I imagine.
