Getting an Interview at Manitoba

I am wondering whether my chances for an interview would be good if I had great MCAT scores but a relatively low AGPA as an OOP. Would high MCAT scores make up for a poor AGPA (granted its above the minimum 3.6.)

Also how many courses are dropped per year off study?

I am under the assumption that they only drop one which makes a humongoid difference in my AGPA.

Any reply is appreciated

Thanks alot.

I can't comment on your chances of an interview, although MCAT does seem to be more heavily weighted than the AGPA at least when it comes to the holistic post-interview scoring. I'm not sure how they decide "whose combined AGPA and MCAT scores are likely to be competitive" after they meet the minimums.

As for calculating the AGPA, my understanding is that how many courses you can drop depends on the total number of post-secondary courses you have ever taken. Check out page 3 of their admissions guide. I think these can just be your worst grades, regardless of when they were taken. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. :D
