blueskyguy
Hi all, I am from Ontario, and I have interests in pursuing a career in FM. I have read online of Ontario physicians complaining about "clawbacks", among other things, but I don't really know what this stuff means. Are physicians in Ontario taxed more? How much more? Are physicians in Ontario "capped"? Do physicians in Ontario have a lower earning potential? Could someone clearly explain the problems with Ontario healthcare today and if it is going to be fixed? How do they compare with other provinces? I appreciate any clarification given.
Zlar Vixen
Mostly it's the wait times. Socialized healthcare means everyone gets it, but as a result, it stuffs waiting rooms to their gills and suffers a lack of distribution. This is the situation in all of Canada generally, however it's especially pronounced in Ontario because of it's much larger population compared to other provinces.
