I hope Birdy, what veggies do you plant? Sugar peas, chioggia beets (if you have never had these, find them. They are amazing), multi-coloured carrots, tomatoes, and we're doing a larger 'three sisters' garden which is corn, beans, and squash grown together. I got some yellow pole beans, some earlivee golden corn (short stalk), and butternut squash, a family favourite. Debating clearing another patch for some leaf lettuce. All the best with your garden. Need to try these beets one day!
Birdy
Sounds delish! All the best with your garden. Need to try these beets one day! Thanks. The kids are really excited to help out. I'm sure that will wane when they realize it isn't *just* playing in the dirt. My son has been finding lots of interesting bugs as we get the beds ready. We just bought a picnic table today ($30!) It promises to be a tasty summer.
