Baljinderthecrow
I am an OOP from Ontario, and my GPA converts to 3.87 on the McGill scale, my prerequisite GPA is a 4.0. Is it worth it for me to even apply? If I do apply should I send in my MCAT score of 512? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you
44332211
yes, apply! if the application fee isn't too much for you. I believe there have been people around that cGPA that have been invited for interview (especially with CASPer being 20%). You never know unless you try
MedP111
I believe someone from here got in as OOP last cycle with a similar GPA, so yes apply, you do have a chance. No need to send in your MCAT score; it's not mandatory and only matters if your prereq GPA is low.
Medreams
I had very similar stats as you, in both GPA and MCAT. I decided not to submit my MCAT however (personal choice). I would highly recommend that you prep hard for the CASPer and submit an application. I didn't think I had a shot, but got offered an interview as an OOP. There are too many variables for one to predict whether it's "worth" applying - especially for McGill who looks at an applicant holistically. Do you have any suggestions or tips about how you prepped for CASPer?
