Enforcement of course\year level rule

I was reading on the UofT Medicine website that they expect at least 60% of your courseload to correspond to your year.

Does anyone know if this rule is strictly enforced?

More specificically, I understand how this rule could be enforced for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years since they don't want people taking entry-level courses in their upper years, but I was wondering how this rule is applied to 4th year.

Typically, only honours\specialist students need to take 4th year courses. In fact, for some majors, you can get away with a regular B.Sc. without taking ANY 4th year courses. So even if you didn't have to, would it be a good idea to take a bunch of 4th year courses in your 4th year???

<title>Waitlist Movement!</title>

<pagetext>Hi all,

Well, apparently all the information to the contrary was wrong...my roommate just called to inform me that I received an acceptance package this morning. I was on the waitlist.

I was happy (and shocked) to get it, but I (yesterday) sent a firm acceptance to Western, which was originally tied with U of T for my top choice. I'm still thrilled with my decision to go to UWO...although it was still nice to be wanted at U of T!

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know that there is some (even if it's just a little) movement on the waitlist, and there will be another spot in OT8 opening up just as soon as I mail my response to offer form back to OMSAS and U of T!

Have fun next year to all you OT8ers, and good luck to all the waitlisters!

Gill :D

<title>graduate students</title>

<pagetext>does anyone know how graduate students are evaluated..

I've heard that the normal undergrad gpa for uoft med is around 3.8-3.9..which i don't have..although i have a solid A graduate gpa...?

would they take that into consideration?

thanks
