Gaining Access to File Information

Does anyone know if it is possible to look at the file Toronto has on us? I believe I heard it mentioned before that although the schools officially say 'we will not provide any feedback on the individual applications', that if you play the 'access to information' card, you can actually view your file. Has anyone else heard about this? If so, how can one go about doing this?

Hi there,

 

A few years ago I tried to invoke the "Freedom of Information Act" to access my UofT applciation file. This request rose pretty high up the UofT echelons and was ultimately denied by the Director of Admission with the rationale that UofT's policy is not to adhere to this Act, which didn't seem to make much sense at the time. This may have changed in the past couple of years, so you might wish to give it another go.
