Cheesehead
Random question, but has anybody ever heard of somebody matching to a program they did not interview at? Would it be at all worthwhile to rank such a program?
JohnGrisham
There is zero downside to rank. Apparently there have been some matches in the past, but not confirmed and likely heresay aka made up. But why not do it if it only costs you a bit of time. jlkhhylyiluh6
well, I suppose the downside is you have to go to a program that is presumably so bad that not a single person who interviewed wanted to go there lol. But I guess thats better than not matching at all?

But I guess thats better than not matching at all? That isn’t true. Other candidates may have ranked it highly but matched to choices they ranked even higher. There is no downside to doing this. Even if it increases your chances by a fraction of a percent, it’s still worth it.

Bcemslayer
Just to clarify, would you have had to apply to this program, and then rank it without interviewing for it? Or could you technically rank anything without even applying for it?
