I'm interested in buying a tablet PC so that I can write notes on powerpoint slides. Are most of our lecture notes at UofT on powerpoint? Do you guys at UofT think it would make things easier?

In found Tablet PCs to be a @#%$ to write on. Even the best ones have a lag which can get real annoying (lag between you writing, and it appearing), and its quicker to type than write in most cases. Also, the pen sizes are not fine enough. IMHO.

when i was at the fac, all of our notes were given to us. They might be changing the system i heard, (yeah right, it takes them 20 years to change something)...but honestly, i don't see a point in getting one. If you really need, may be get a laptop to type ur notes.

besides, MOST of the material you learn in lecture in your first two years are irrelevant, i.e. you just memorize the past tests and memorize the notes which are printed for you.
