I'll list a few questions here. Would love to hear some answers in this forum or offline! Feel free to answer as few or as many as you want! Appreciate any advice you're willing to share About your program: 1. How many residents are in each year? 2. What is the time split between clinic, lectures, research, and teaching? 3. Are you happy with your faculty? (resident to faculty ratio, overall attitude and interest in teaching) 4. Are you happy with the exposure to different procedures? (What do you get to perform?) 5. Do you feel that you are well prepared to work in private practice? About applying: 1. What do you feel makes a competitive applicant? How would you weight the below factors? a. GPA/Class rank b. New graduate vs years of work experience c. Letters of Recommendation d. Extracurriculars e. Research f. pre-dental school GPA and CV g. interviews 2. Were you able to connect or observe with programs before applying? 3. Is there anything you wish you knew about the application process before getting started?
