GPA conversion from 4.3 scale to Mcgill's 4.0 scale

HI ! I was wondering how the conversion was made from a 4.3 scale to a 4.0 scale.
For example, if I have

9 credits = A+ (4.3/4.3)

3 credits = A (4.0/4.3)

since there's no A+ at mcgill, does this automatically give me 4.0/4.0 ?

I'm interested to transfert from udem to mcgill so I'm evaluating my chances. The grades here are fictional.

Thanks !

You can check the last page of this document (https://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/files/medadmissions/workbook_user_guide_en_2022.docx) to compare what your GPA will be. You find your school at the bottom and see what # it’s associated with, then look at that column in the chart and then check your grade. If you go see for Montreal (UdeM) it’s column 5 and for example you see that A+ and A are the same as a 4.0 at McGill. An A- at UdeM is a 3.70 at McGill, etc. You see the equivalent at McGill by looking all the way to the left :)  this is for individual classes though, but I’m guessing you can also just fill out the workbook if you’re really curious to see what they would calculate your overall gpa to be.
