Dentistry in Australia

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I got accepted into Dentistry in Australia right out of high school when I was 18 years old. I just finished my first year in October 2022, and now I am thinking of coming back and doing Dentistry in Canada instead. I know it is really hard for people to get in here, but I would really prefer to stay at home and try again.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

finish your degree and write the boards. There's too much at stake since you're already in dental school. To get in Canada, you'd need to do well in undergrad in terms of classes and outside of classes. You'd also need to do well on DAT, and in interview (if offered). There's too many hoops you need to jump through and too many uncertainties that could happen which may take a long time for you to reach the end goal.
