Withdrew from Masters degree, is this allowed?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have been out of undergrad since 2014, had applied to med at that time and got one interview at U of T. Since then I have gone on to be a respiratory therapist, but always keep coming back to wanting to apply to med. I am considering re-writing my MCAT and applying. However, in 2020 I started a master's degree, did one semester of the program and decided it was not for me for multiple reasons including timing with the pandemic, marriage and subject matter.

How do schools deal with applicants that withdrew from a Masters? I know some schools want you to complete your masters if you are currently enrolled, but not sure if that applies in a situation where you withdrew from the program a number of years ago. I'm mostly looking to apply to Western, Mac, Queens, U of T and maybe NOSM.

Would be great to hear if anyone knows anything about this!
