Hello all,

 

Hope your New Years all went well. This has been a fairly big last year for the Premed101 discussion forum, which opened up to the internet at the beginning of March 2001. From then until now, we've had 187,159 visits and 5264 messages posted. I'd like to thank each of the posters and especially the moderators for their hard work in the phenomenal growth of this bulletin board, and the wealth of information that we've generated.

 

In 2001, I also switched my Canadian Premed website from its old home at: www.geocities.com/mdpremie to its new location at www.premed101.com. The Geocities website has managed to generate 39,607 visits since its opening in June 1999.

 

To start off this year, I wish everyone here on this board success and further progress on our common goals of studying and practising medicine.

Why don't you find a sponsor!? Some corporations would pay big bucks to get their logo pasted up in front of 1million people a year? And, It shouldn't cost your readership a dime. (A little capitalism at work?)

let's put another spin on this... with 1000 members there's roughly 10 visits a day per member. Now I have a hunch that access is spread unevenly, so crazy addicts are probably coming here 50-100 times daily. 8o

 

additionally, there are approximately 6 new members per day. Well, with this kind of growth, I'm pleased and amazed that the board has been kept so civil and tidy... Ian and other surveillance crew, you rock! :hat
