Guest Dunes Posted April 5, 2004 Report Share Posted April 5, 2004 Sorry guys, I know it's not on the topic of Medicine, but this is a very nice Fundraiser event for Doctors Without Borders if you're in the Vancouver area ------------------------- Coming May 8th… FUNDRAISER FOR DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS THE INCREDIBLE RACE This May 8th at 12:30 pm, Events Without Borders is hosting their second fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders with a return of the popular ‘Incredible Race’ event. A minimum donation is required to participate. WHAT IS THE INCREDIBLE RACE? Modelled after the reality TV show ‘The Amazing Race’, players, in small teams, compete in a fantastic race across Vancouver. Navigating their way to each checkpoint, teams must complete tasks and solve clues to be successful. The race begins in the West End and continues throughout the downtown and surrounding areas. This is no boring scavenger hunt! The race features checkpoints based on the region’s main attractions and will take you and your team on a ride through the best of Vancouver. Speed is only a part of success, players must use strategy and negotiation to accomplish tasks and out do other teams. This event is suitable for all fitness levels. WHAT IS DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS? Doctors Without Borders (formally known as Médecins Sans Frontières) operates in over 80 countries around the world providing medical care for peoples in need.
