Guest cheetahesque
The instructions state that if you are a Canadian Citizen but are born outside of Canada, they request proof of citizenship by mailing them a copy of your passport or landing papers etc. When I mail them this info, do I need to put in other information so they will know to trace it back to my original file on OAS? Guest Jochi1543
I would imagine having your name, gender, and date of birth on there would be sufficient information for them to pull up your file.
Guest shoopshoop
I had to send a copy too when I applied for undergrad admissions and that was it. Don't forget that they also have your passport number too on there. Besides, in my opinion, I think it was be devastating for your career/background, etc. if they, for example, check your copy and turns out that you tried to forge it. This may lead to some sort of prosecution as forging passport info is serious. So I don't think they need to worry much about making sure you are what your copy states:)
