Proposed Tuition Hike at U of A

Gone are the days of low tuition at U of A for medicine. U of A has proposed a differential tuition for medicine that will see tuition increases over the next three years totaling 112%, starting next year with an additional $2000/annum. If approved, future medical students will be dishing out over $12,000 in tuition fees alone. Just thought those that are applying to next year's class should know. Students currently in med, however, will not be subjected to the tuition spike (as per a grandfather clause).

I am applying to U of A this year, my third time, third interview. Hoping that I will have better luck this time. However, because I wasn't certain how good my chances are and because I wanted to be improving my application while applying to Med school, I recently (Jan.) registered in a Masters program. I remember reading on the application that we are supposed to notify U of A of any changes in application. Should I write a letter, phone or send new transcripts????? Also I was wondering if being enrolled in a Masters program that you won't be finished at the start of that school year will affect your application. I sure hope not because I really want to do both. I've been informed that it is quite easy to get a deferral for an academic reason. Any insight would be much appreciated.
