Guest snoopychan
I now have a LOC set up at RBC. RBC have designated 4 representatives to deal with student LOCs in the region. Here is the contact info for my agent: Paul Boissonneault Westgate Branch 1309 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON 613-798-4451 paul.boissonneault@rbc.com (best to make an appointment as he works at multiple branches) Paul was very friendly, helpful and offers complimentary coffee . He went thru RBC policies thoroughly, discussed my expenses and needs, and we worked something out. In an hour or so, he will fill out the entire application for LOC and a Platinum or Gold credit card for you. All I had to provide was the 2 Dean's letters, and a list of expenses. I got the maximum $125,000 at prime during undergrad, prime during residency and prime after residency with a 10 year window to pay it off. This is standard at RBC for medical students and he told me to pass it along to not settle for anything less. Only interest is to be paid at the end of each month. You may also apply for LOC by calling 1-800-769-2511. However, you will not have the luxury of an agent typing everything in for you. Hope this helps.
