Guest Quinn
Hi everyone, I need your honest opinion: I have a cumulative GPA just over 8.0 and my pre-requisite average is just over 7.5. I have finished my degree, have tons of research experience and extracurriculars....what are my chances of getting an interview at the U of A? I haven't heard from them yet, and the waiting is killing me. Thanks!

Guest UofA man
My understanding of the admissions process is that only marks are looked at when determing who gets an interview. My advice to you is that you improve your pre req scores since that is worth the most, It not that hard to do I pushed mine up .6 by taking a few classes this year, and it made a big difference. What is your MCAT scores like? that is also a big determing factor. As far as your chances this year I'm not really sure your pre reqs are high enough since it makes up a big part of the criteria. Your CGPA is definitley high enough, it kicks mine at least, but in the long run that is only worth 20% when it comes to getting an interview and 10% for the total application. Best of luck
