Best Histology Textbook?

I think both Junqueira and Wheater's have their good and bad points, but the books are so different that you really need to assess your med school's expectations of your knowledge base before you pick one. Wheater's has it all over Junqueira as far as colour slides go, so if you need to recognise slides on your exams, get Wheater's.

 

Junqueira has excellent electron micrographs, and has great text descriptions of the histological components of each human tissue (ie. what you would find in a salivary gland), but wouldn't help you at all as far as colour lights of light microscopy go.
