All right.. time for a fresh post...

What is everybody's plans on Tuesday, while they await the precious email ?

What will you do that evening if you're accepted?

What will you do that evening if you're not?

I'll be incubating my membrane in a secondary antibody (mind out of the gutter, sickos! :P ) that morning, so be frantically refreshing email while that's doing its thing.

If I'm in.. I honestly don't know, I imagine overwhelming surrealness.

If I'm not in.. hope I'm on the good list and wait for the UT letter :)

I will be at work, pestering my boyf to check my email. My hair will be falling out. My coworkers will be pestering me.

If I get in, I'm going to the Yang-tse for a victory supper with my loved ones. Not to mention prancing around like a rooster at work, occasionally beating my chest in victory.

If I don't get in, I will cry at work, see if I need a day off, and pick up a six pack of Woody's Grapefruit. And eat a pizza, while watching a movie. And crying to my boyf why ? WHY ?! WHY ???!!!

Then I will pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again...

Hello,

Yea the wait is killing me too! It's difficult to concentrate on anything and I find myself very antsy all the time!!!

Good news is the next few days I'm extremely busy with family and other things...so that should atleast keep me busy. But come Monday...I really don't know if I'll be able to sleep!

If I get in I'm going to celebrate...

If I don't I will go out nonetheless but just to clear my mind...to set things right for the future and to take the appropriate steps to get in the following year!

I will have to rewrite my MCATs...which is one of the main reasons I just wanna get in this year and not have to deal with all that mess.

Its the difference between a perfect summer and the worst summer of my life!

Goodluck to everyone!... :D

Well, it's the last weekend to go...and maybe the longest!

My plans....I am looking at horses to lease for the summer. Horseback riding is the only thing that ever takes my mind of of EVERYTHING. So hopefully, I won't think to much about it. Although I will admit I will spend a good chunk of time debating whether med school is the right choice for me.

If I get in....I think I will have a hard time working that day. And then I will have to engage in some more serious thought about whether med school is the right path for me.

If I don't get in...disappointment of course (nobody likes to get rejected), perhaps relief that this decision isn't really mine in the end, and then I wil buy a horse instead of lease one, and never look back!

Good luck everyone!

Sats

" I'll be incubating my membrane in a secondary antibody (mind out of the gutter, sickos! :P ) "

wow - i've done like 50 western's, and have a gutter-mind when even remotely possible, and still haven't considered any innuendo around incubating membranes in secondary antibodies! nicely done OT6!

You are a female who can speak French and who is a feminist.

Just what the world needs, another feminist physician.

I truly hope you don't get in, but that's not how thing work in Canada.

I would, however, be interested to see what type of pushover boy would date a feminist.

Who said I was a girl ?

But that can't be surprising coming from you that you would assume Nurse=Girl.

So considering that I'm a guy, and I have a boyfriend, that makes me gay, doesn't it? That makes my a big, gay frog who'll become a doctor. How do like them apples ?

And do you want to know something else? Me and Terrell are getting married ! This August !

I think congradulations are in order...

ROFL. A doctor?

That's @#%$ hillarious.

Considering we're in Canada, the epitome of socialism, I have no doubt you will get in.

You represent 2 minorities at the same time.....French and gay.

Let me be the first to thank the on his MD.

Oh well, it's a good thing you're gay.........more young nurse's who will be after me once I'm in.

Does that include guys and girls ? Because if we go by your rules, a male nurse must be gay. And hence after you, just like the chick nurses.

I am very disappointed to read these posts. It is one thing to express your opinion but it should not convert into hatred and violence. As a doctor, you will see all different types of patients and to judge someone is against the morals of this profession. I can not believe that I read this garbage on this website that I found so helpful in my application cycle this year. I will ask the moderators to please erase these posts.

Thank you and I wish everyone would resolve things with peace before violence.

UWOmalestudent,

Your ignorant, archaic, hate propaganda must come to an end. It seems you have all sorts of anger - towards women, towards certain political beliefs, towards people who do not subscribe to heterosexuality. As a physician, it will be your DUTY to care for people in a compassionate and tolerant way. 300k a year or not. I sincerely hope that you a) read more. This will help you to better understand the world in which we live. B) seek professional help - you obviously have a mental problem (or five). And finally c) practice a subset of medicine in which you don't have to have much interaction with actual human beings. I suspect they might be a foreign species to you.

^ It is very easy to preach morals, ethics, love and helping everyone when you're making 300 grand a year isn't it?

It's very convenient to be a martyr when you're among the top 2% of society in terms of earning power.

At least be honest. You are as greedy as I am.

guys - there's no point in getting upset. yea, our little troll/fanboy has upped the ante on being obnoxious, but he's not for real, and he has no interest in medicine.

basically he's just here to incite, and the more you post arguing against him, the more he likes it and the more he posts.

his is a bizarre little game, trolling, but some people do it and enjoy it. it hasn't really been determined, psychologically, what trolls get out of it, but part of it probably has to do with the self-satisfaction they gain when they realize people are paying attention to them.

i don't particularly like reading what he has written, because even as a joke it's way over the top, but it's just that, a joke. he's making it up out of thin air as he goes along. think about it like that and try not to post a response.

the only way to get rid of trolls/fanboys/groupies is to ignore them, and let them tire themselves out.

if we can all do that, every time he posts, then we can get rid of this little troll... if not, he could be here a while, as his posting frequency seems to indicate he doesn't have much else to do.
