Guest MDin2006
Does anyone know which schools in the U.S. pay for your travel costs if you are given an interview, and which ones send a rep. to Canada to interview you here?
Guest WesternGirl
Hi MDin2006, I have not heard of any school paying travel costs for the interviews...I always thought interviews were the applicants' expense. I know that at Duke, it is possible to do a regional interview. That is, you don't have to go to the school but can do it a closer location - but I think there are limited cities/places that interviews can be help. I don't think Canada is one of them, but I could be wrong.
Guest BrainDrain
I am only aware of MD/PhD interviewees getting reimbursed for travel costs and this only happens at select schools (WashU comes to mind). As for regional interviews, I would advise against these...it shows a lack of interest in the school if you don't make an effort to go down there to check them out.
