What I wish I had known before starting med school

This is for people who have been in medical school for at least 1 year, and preferably more... what do you wish you had known before you started... / was there anything that surprised you, or that you thought would be different than it was? In relation to medical school OR practicing medicine..

Although I made it through the first two years fine, a prior course in anatomy (or zoology that dealt with similar terms and structures) might have been helpful.

I'm going into my 3rd year of residency...

when I was a med student, I wish I had known how unimportant most of it would be 3 years down the road!
