how to prepare best for DAT carving?

Recommended Posts

IQ Publications makes a very good carving manual specifically for the cDAT.

It includes sample carvings which are indicative of what you should actually expect (the dome end aside) and some good tips on how to carve. The sample carving guide gave out by the CDA is a bit too simplistic in my opinion.

The book is kinda expensive at $40, but I think it's the only real resource out there, aside from classes. You should be able to find it in your campus bookstore.

Here's a link to their site:

I really think that I would have done worse without this book, although I didn't do so hot in the first place, but that's likely due to some of my shortcomings.
