EC - how to verify hobbies

do hobbies such as origami and writing fiction count? and if they do then who to put as a verifier? They are both something I do on my spare time for myself.

I would put them on the app if you're serious about them. To get a verifier, I'd suggest just going to one of your current verifiers who you are more or less friends with and just showing them an example of what you do, so they could say "oh yes, I've seen his/her origami/fiction."

just put yourself as a verifier... if they want to see proof, i'm sure you could mail out a paper crane to them or give them a copy of a few stories of yours... i put myself as a verifier for a few things on my sketch (and it's important to note that they specifically say they don't expect verifiers for EVERYTHING... just the things that you can reasonably find verifiers for)

Hum... I don't see that on the instruction booklet... here's what I read (copy-pasted from the 2008 booklet :

 

"However, ensure that you have a contact for

each of the activities that you list"

 

and

 

"If you are applying to the Northern Ontario School of

Medicine, the University of Ottawa and/or the University of

Toronto, please provide contact information for one person

who can verify your involvement for each activity mentioned in

your Autobiographic Sketch."

 

To be on the safe side, I'd go with Jochi's idea
