UWO essay question....

The essay asks for what personal and educational backgrounds prepared you for the increasing self-study component at UWO...

 

So essentially, are we to describe events that show our ability to handle high workloads and still perform well (ie maintaining gpa, but still doing volunteer work). Is there anything else to it?

 

Also, I suffered from a severe skin disorder in years 1,2, and 3, which also lead to insomnia... but despite this I still maitained my GPA and kept up with volunteer work.... would this be a good example to use in my essay or would it be a bad idea IYO? (ps i would be able to provide medical documentation pon request)

umm... I think self-study refers to an ability to teach yourself, investigate matters independently, kinda like mac's med school system... perhaps you've interpreted it as an ability to maintain balance?
