Autobiographical Sketch - Awards

When entering awards into the autobiographical sketch, what dates should be used? Should I put both the start and end date as the date of the award? Or, should I put the start date as the start date of whatever I did to earn the award? That option seems a bit misleading, since in some cases I did eight years of volunteering before receiving an award.

both your suggestions sound fine. I would just be consistent in any format you use and use your common sense.

I think that I put my awards as the term of the award - like if it was an award given once a year for work done in the previous academic year, then I put it for that academic year. That's how awards are entered on my university transcript, and I wanted to be consistent with that.

 

I totally agree with CTU that both your suggestions sound fine, as long as you are consistent
