kakhama
Hi im a first year honors student at UW taking 3 bios(2 which of second year courses) 1 chem and a psychology course. my avg is around is 70% . i had this plan of taking half of medical school pre-requisites the first year of university and the other half the next, so i could get them over with as quickly as possible and apply after the second year. my question is, have i screwed myself over by takin all pre-requisites and getting low grades or should i take other courses to bring my marks up in the following years. futuredoc
I would highly recommend taking some other courses and spreading out the prerequisites. I don't know how you normally do academically, but if you are expecting 70's (and otherwise "low" marks) it may be wise to spread it out. Consider spreading your courses over three years. Remember the fact that having a good GPA is valued way more than finishing your prereq's in two years. Don't stress it, getting into med school takes time. Good luck!
