Fade2Black
I know I should contact each school individually, but I was just wondering if anybody knows how most U.S. schools treat a 5-year undergraduate (a special year if you will). Do they look at the four most recent for GPA calculations? If not taking an extra year of ugrad, Im interested in doing a master's...generally speaking, is a graduate applicant more appealing for most U.S. schools? Thanks for the insights. medisforme
US med schools look at your entire gpa throughout undergraduate studies. Also, it could be different with the top ivy schools where research is more important in the application, but a lot of US med schools don't include your graduate gpa in their calculation of your gpa. Madz25
ALL post-secondary grades are included in GPA calculations for US schools.
Alastriss
A 5 year of undergrad could work to boost your GPA if your 4th year marks are great. Concerning grad work, your Grad gpa isnt looked at. I dont think the title itself carries much weight either. To quote KennethToronto who said it the best: Being a grad student won't help you get in, but the publications/research productivity sure will
