Physics Requirement Md

Recommended Posts

I noticed that there are 3 physics requirement for MD at the french med schools in Quebec.

Physique 101, 201 et 301. : mecanique / electricite & magnetisme / ondes

Are these courses equivalent to simply 2 undergraduate physics courses at english schools? Example from McGill

(((( PHYS 101 Introductory Physics - Mechanics )))))

Fall

4 credit hours

3 hours lectures; 2 hours laboratory; tutorial sessions

Not open to students taking or having taken PHYS 131, CEGEP objective 00UR or equivalent

Laboratory sections have limited enrolment

The object of this course is to give the students a basic understanding of the principles of physics, illustrating these, where possible, with current examples of their use in biology and medicine.

((((( PHYS 102 Introductory Physics - Electromagnetism )))))

Prerequisite: PHYS 101

Corequisite: MATH 139

Not open to students taking or having taken PHYS 142, CEGEP objective 00UR or equivalent

Laboratory sections have limited enrolment
