Sunday's practice went pretty well. There were 15 of us and we broke into 4 groups of roughly 4 in each. There is still plenty of room, since we have four rooms and can accomodate 8 in each. However, if you are coming to Sunday's then please prepare a written MMI type question.

 

I didn't attend Saturday's.

Hi everyone,

 

I am new to this site and I am wondering if there will be a practice session this weekend or are they all set at a certain time and location? I would like to participate and learn more about the type of questions and the 'correct' answers that are expected.

Hello everyone.

 

Following up on Babs' question... I am interested in coming out for some practice also. Do you have room for any more? I live in Powell River and am planning to catch a couple of ferries down, as I am completely unable to find any organized MMI practices up here!

 

Are you still planning to meet on Saturday the 17th, and if so where? Dvrecko's link seems to indicate the Scarfe building. Is this still the place?

I know there are number of people who are intested in coming to saturday practice group and that's great!

 

Right now, we are having a little bit hard time finding a good place to do mock MMI, so people were thinking Scarfe building - using the classroom on the 2nd floor. I'm not certain as to what time people were interested in meeting, but fyi the library opens at 12:00 pm. From my understanding lots of people wanted to meet earlier, so if people want to meet at noon to get more practice, this would work. So I guess the tentative schedule for saturday practice would be:

 

Time: 12:00 pm - onwards

Place: meet right in front of the education library in Neville Scarfe building

 

I will not be able to attend next few weeks, as I can not get out to UBC campus until 2 pm. So I guess someone else should be in charge of organizing this..

Deanis - thanks for your reply. Sunday works just as well for me. I have added my name to the list, but I am not sure if that is how to sign up; the list is still dated for Sunday Jan 11.

Hey guys,

 

I checked out the library. The librarian informed me saturday is relatively quiet, and there is a study room available but it actually is the computer lab. I think we may be able to use this...but otherwise I don't believe they have the small classrooms anymore. However, I believe we can use the group study area, and seperate everyone with reasonable distance. Anyone on saturday have any ideas on this?

 

I'll send out an email to everyone on the mailing list. Thanks to juc25, who found out it was open at 12.
