gaveawayallmymoney
Hello, Before I get too many questions, I chose my username to reflect on my current financial position (in light of the application expenses). I am a Canadian 4th year med student in Toronto going to the US (hopefully) for residency (surgery) next year. I am planning to return to Canada someday. When should I take Step 2? Should I write the LMCC? Thanks for any help
Lactic Folly
Step 2 is typically taken by graduating US medical students during their 4th year (I took it right after the LMCC Part 1 in May).. you'll need to pass both parts before applying for Step 3, which to the best of my knowledge is needed for licensure in the US, as LMCC 1 and 2 are for Canadian licensure. It is an expensive process but I thought it was worth it in order to keep my future options open.
