mango
Hey, So now that we are all in school, what do you do besides school? Because let's face it, we see the same people doing the same things everyday - it gets dry.
Wut?
Pictures, video games, hanging out with said people, partying with said people, trying to study, sleeping. Pretty much enough to keep me not bored

mango
This forum? Yeah. I'm not a premed. And I definitely don't need advice on how to fill out my 48 OMSAS list. Been there done that. I feel that since this year started, so much of my time is spent in school or for something related to it, with mostly the same group of people. I keep up with some of my hobbies, but it is at a lesser degree than what I used to do. Kind of sad. I'm also not able to keep up with volunteering anymore because of the schedule. leviathan
What's spare time? Is that the time spent walking in between classes, or cooking dinner?
A-Stark
I procrastinate. I don't want to read about Na+ reabsorption just now.
BlackJack
I do not find med school as stressful as undergrad. Just wait until clerkship. In a pass/fail system, it is no longer numerical grades that differentiates the great students from the average ones; It's the subjective impression you can leave on your attending physicians. In other words, it's an arbitrary, chaotic, and therefore stressful, process from clerkship onwards. As for what I'm doing with my spare time: Spelunky, and La-Mulana. http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=4017.0 and http://agtp.romhack.net/project.php?id=lamulana I also recommend Cave Story. Great indie games!
chemgirl
I have taken up oil painting and cooking and I find them both to be good stress relievers. I also like to have something creative and artistic to do... it's an outlet for all the stress and emotional turbulence of clerkship I also swim about 3 times a week and then sit in a hot tub afterwards and chill out for 20 minutes. Once again, I find this very stress relieving.
Dr.Cave
Well I get out caving maybe once a month. I started doing yoga and that is a great way to relax. I play my guitar. I play lots of pool in the student lounge. I work out at irregular intervals. I played GTA IV last fall and now I play Civ Revolution.
