MMIs only count for 25% of your score. Is that a lot?

I think you're reading my post right but misinterpreting what I'm saying. I think it is fair agree with you in that there's not necessarily a negative correlation (if anything it could be positive) between high stats and interview capabilities, aside from the genius' of the world who are doing research at Harvard

I think that it is a stereotype that people with high GPA/MCAT are socially inept, but like (nearly) all stereotypes they are there for a reason. There are certainly some people that spent WAY too much time solely on school work and I think their interpersonal skills suffer for it. Definitely not all, but some. And it is these people (IMO) that make the room for the people with slightly lower stats but whom excel in interpersonal skills.
