ManateeMan
How much can I expect to make if I want to take a full year off and work as a research assistant in a lab (Toronto) to generate some interesting results?
hastin11
Less than 20k.
ManU
Less than 20k. Depends on the lab. I know in the Phys dept at UWO undergrad research assistants (P/T) get 11$/h. So that is at least 25000 a year if they were to work full time. You will probably look at about 30-35 as a fulltime research technician.
Jochi1543
I got $2000/mo as an undergrad.
switcheroo
Non-grad students get paid around $13/hour in my lab, so whatever that works out to full-time. (~$26000?)
Diabetes dude
Non-grad students get paid around $13/hour in my lab, so whatever that works out to full-time. (~$26000?) Hmm.. That's a lot more than what many grad students make, especially if tuition is taken into account.
Star
It definitely varies... my salary is about $3300/month in my current lab at UBC. But when I worked as a summer student in other labs I only made about $12/hr. Depends how much money the lab has, pretty much.
Angelia
In my lab its about $16 an hour, so close to 30,000 year. But yeah it definitely depends on what lab your in and how much they are willing to pay you...
