AndreaM
100 med students and 5 anatomy profs from UBC went to Body Worlds last night and it was fantastic. We split up into groups with a prof per group and then the profs pointed out interesting anatomical points about all the displays and we all asked questions and pointed things out ourselves. It was a fantastic way to study anatomy and way more fun and interestesting than if I had gone by myself
deeman101
Awesome weekend in Jersey! Now must drive back to good -ol Canada. Or like the 'mericans would put it: the great white socialistic north. On a side note, I've been lagging so far behind in med school. I've skipped and slept through so many of lecs and I have my final on next friday. What is this "renal" stuff that people talk about?
apache
dont worry, i took a trip and skipped a week of Infectious Disease when we got 5 days off last year (so only skipped 2 days technically), cramming will get you through it... god bless pass/fail! thatonekid
Email from supervisor that I just received: Can you come up with 20 more potential questions for the survey? We're meeting tomorrow at 8am so you can bring them then. Was going to tell you about questions and meeting sooner but I forgot. AHswiHhdsaikuehdnawikuy. Grr. It takes forever to get the questions for this survey we're (I'm) working on and I had plans for tonight. Sigh.

Just this week he asked me to print out all of my graphs from all of the patients with the rest of the patient history and bring it to him so we can take a look at it. Bye bye big forest.... hello 100 pages of stats and graphs.
Renin
Even if I had seen her naked I like her too much to tell. It's weird, I haven't thought about anything sexual with her, but rather just fleeting daydreams of working on a crossword puzzle while swinging on a swing on the porch. Is there something wrong with me? Yes. You girl.

leap87
Fever + chills.... I don't know what the hell this is but it's rockin' my daily routine. I just passed out for 2 hours and have a meeting with my supervisor in an hour to go over the stuff I've done. I don't think I'll be able to explain what I think needs to get done and what I need... I can't string a coherent sentence without sounding like I have shivers.... :/ And yes, I've taken some hard core meds to help with fever but they're failing too. Call the supervisor and tell them you're too sick to come in. Take a warm bath, take something that will help knock you out (neocitran nighttime formula), and go to bed. i hope you don't get the other lovely symptoms that keep one awake and chained to the bathroom... That's the last thing I need right now. Okay. I'm going to try to go to bed now.... I've been having trouble sleeping because of the fever and aches in my joints though. I took some Ibuprofen extra strength for fever.... changed it up a bit... before I took some crazy ass European Aspirin which tended to help but now it's making me sick... deeman101
Dude, I'm deathly ill right now too. And not in the good way. I took a 3 hr nap and feel better though. Usually when I get sick I try to wrap myself in blankets and sleep for as long as possible. Try to bake yourself with high heat as much as possible. Remember leap, you have foreign immune system. You iz stronger than these pityful westerners.
Renin
Studying for my virology midterm next week. Oh god, why are there so many viruses to memorise? Also working on my environmental micb lab questions. I realised this year that I hate my program, but I gotta suck it up. I haven't seen her in a few days. I miss her. What's happening to me? Is this what they call...like? Actually, when guys tell me they like me, they don't talk about porch swings and doing crossword puzzles. It's usually a lot more vulgar. So I would say, no, it is not like.
apache
yeah, finding an ideal partner is one of my most idealized goals too, no shame in that Well, I consider myself to be somewhat of a romantic. I've had a few long-term relationships that have ended in a mutual breakup because I was just so busy with school that I didn't have the time to see her. That's sort of the reason why I really don't want to be in a relationship in 4th year, but you can't help what you feel. Along with getting my MD, finding that right person is the most important goal I have, as mawkish as that sounds.
