Contact the race director (Dean) if you want to know about training in your area, you can let him know I sent you. :)

Or if you want to travel, there's this one, I love the photos on this post:

Supposed to be on my way back to Edmonton, but I'm delayed in Montreal because of bad weather in Toronto. Been delayed for 2 hours already *sigh* oh well. Had a great holiday. :)

EDIT: boarding in 5 minutes! Finally! :) Hope I don't miss my connecting flight!

Thinking about leasing a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta.

This is my first car ever. Thoughts?

VWs are hard to do oil changes on (sometimes)

good quality

if it's a TDI you'll get the best fuel mileage of all vehicles

parts are expensive, but with a lease on a new vehicle you won't have to worry about that

Sad day in the ICU yesterday. Hard to work around 10+ family members crying.

Aside - it's incredibly difficult to actually get a new family doc in a new town. I'm tempted to just ask one of my resident friends to just write me a script at this point.

but mav, could that be "unethical" for your friend...

sorry to hear about the tough day.

my sister just got the 2011 jetta highline, my brother has a city jetta- they both quite enjoy them.

like kayla said- the tdi will get you crazy good fuel consumption (like 1100 km/tank) and i believe diesel is about the same price as gas (at least in vancouver).

also, they can be expensive to repair/maintain, but because it is new you shouldn't have too many issues.

i say go for it.

i'm a big fan of the golf though so i'm a little biased towards vw already.

When are people expecting Western/Queens invites?

Good question. I have absolutely no clue for Sask, UWO, Queens, Mac, or NOSM.

From UWO's website:

The GPA and MCAT minimums for the 2010-11 application cycle will be posted here in February 2011.

So I'm assuming shortly after that they will send out invites.

Queen's can be any day now

Sounds about right - the new admissions site (phase 1) will be up within a couple of weeks, and the official blog (i hope) Pretty much the rest of things are proceeding on schedule

Cool thanks. Let's hope the VR cut off won't be as bad as last time though I think it will probably remain at 11.
