metukah
Has anyone or is anyone working with a tutor to prepare for the MCAT? I don't mean like a prep company like TRP, Kaplan, but a personal one-on-one tutor. Do you find that it helps? improved your scores? Meddy05
Hmm... I'm actually thinking about a prep course too, although I know some people who said that it's not that much help. However, I am looking to maximize my chances of getting in med school.
xi88
I had registered for Princeton but then dropped out of it very quickly. I found it to be of very little use. The courses covered way too much information beyond the scope of the MCAT materials. If you took undergrad sciences, you should have learned all the stuff. IMO the prep courses are only useful if you havent taken the undergrad courses or if you aren't good with studying by yourself. Also, I found that you really dont need a really high MCAT to get in, so long as you make up for it with GPA and ECs. I know several people get in with just the min MCAT requirements.
