Spoke with chantal and was told the waitlist would not begin moving until june 12, after all provisionals become firm and all refusals are processed.

The reason the provisional acceptance exists is to give the applicant choice and flexibility...

 

Ottawa is severely lacking in confidence if they wait until the provisional period is finished as they're deciding to leave anyone that accepted provisionally with the hope of getting into Ottawa out in the dark.

 

For you waitlisters however, although that wait absolutely sucks, if this is in fact true, not a single person will use a provisional acceptance to get into Ottawa as the deadline will have already passed. Hopefully, that frees up a few more spots for some of you that may have been taken otherwise.

This is true. Maybe someone that is in this situation can call. It's a very valid point.
