Steve-0
Hi all, I was wondering how one goes about training to become a forensic pathologist. I know many schools across Canada offer residencies in anatomical pathology which I beleive is required before a fellowship in forensics. Do you have to go to the US to do this fellowship training, and if so how long is it? Once complete, how easy is it to get back to Canada and secure a job? Thanks for any help! Laika
U of T has just recently started to offer a fellowship in forensic path. It's the only one in the country, and I think it takes 2 fellows/year. Not sure about the job market... there's demand now, but I guess that could change if the UT graduates stick around in the coming years and saturate the market. Although, you'd always be free to practice standard path...
