MED-3
Can a master's student accept both NSERC and OGS at the same time? Or only 1 at a time? Is NSERC considered more prestigious or OGS? Thanks for answering.

Thanks for answering. Only one I got both this year, and in theory if I accepted it I would have to turn down one. For obvious reasons the OGS is turned down normally

Thanks for answering. You can only hold one of them at a time. NSERC is considered more prestigious, and is usually favoured over OGS. It usually results in a slightly higher amount of financial support as well.
NewfieMike
yeah overlapping of funding used to be a big problem until it was fixed so you can only hold one funding source. I know of a masters student who got 35k a year for taking a provincial award along with federal that's been fixed, now.
